If you’ve got some money to spend on a fresh summer ride, we may just have the thing for you. A forum member on Pro-Touring.com posted up his classic 1967 Camaro SS for sale. In addition to the car, some performance parts, such as a 454 engine and five-speed transmission, are being offered.
These parts were originally intended to be put in the car to create an exceptional pro-touring car. The forum member’s lack of time for the project is to your benefit if you’re looking for a classic pro-touring build project.
The ’67 Camaro has a 350 cubic-inch engine with Hooker heads, Holley four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. Although the numbers on the engine don’t match the car, the engine pushes out a significant 350hp. The Camaro also boasts an M-20 four-speed transmission, 12-bolt rear end and 3.73 rear-end geared posi.
The car is Admiral Blue with a steel cowl hood. The interior is completely new in black and sports a Hurst shifter, Auto Meter tachometer and AM/FM cassette player. The Camaro is rounded off with 15-inch rally wheels with BF Goodrich radials and front disc brakes. The car can be yours for $25,000.
The other parts the forum member is offering include a custom built 454 with all brand new components which the owner states will easily make 625 hp on regular gas. The engine can be purchased for $10,000.
A brand new Tremec TKO 600 five-speed transmission can be purchased for $2,500 new in the box. A brand new TWM Induction EFI intake is also being offered and can be yours for $3,500. That’s a total of $41,000 for the entire project.
This project looks like it could result in quite the car. While it’s a lot of money to spend on a project car right off, in the right hands this 1967 Camaro could become one beast of a pro-touring car.
