PRI 2011: BMR’s Adjustable Lower Control Arms

What better way to show off your full-tilt, bolt-on suspension products than by tilting each BMR project vehicle on it side? It was awesome to say the least and were ecstatic over the the amount of parts and components bolted to the underside. What’s new for this year? Well, for starters BMR is was showcasing an all-new adjustable lower control arm setup for ’10-11 Camaros.

BMR has since upgraded its front endlinks to these stronger units, which also reduce endlink deflection and increase sway bar effectiveness for 5th Gen Camaros.

These new components from BMR replace the OE stamped steel arm with a much more rigid tubular setup to reduce camber change during aggressive handling. Trust us, we’ve seen first hand with Allan Miller behind the wheel…this Camaro can cook and hook, too.

Of course, its outfitted with nearly every possible BMR bolt-on component and can handle nearly any dragstrip or road course with ease.

What’s more, these new arms will still fit a 17-inch wheel and is manufactured from heavy duty DOM tubing with 3/16-inch laser cut mounting plates. These lower arms can even lower the ride height up to one full inch.

This particular ’10 Camaro is no show queen either. It’s actually owned by BMR’s owner, Allan Miller. “It’s got about 6,000 miles on the clock with a built 416ci LS3, TVS 2300 Magnacharger pumping about 18psi, backed by a TH400.

We haven’t had a chance to really dig into it on the dyno. However, our initial tuning was netting us around 825hp at the rear wheels with about 860 ft.-lb.!

It's obvious BMR has done their engineering homework here. Reinforced and shod with extra gussets frame in the arms for super-strength.
